OETC Conference Preview

Two conferences in one week! What can be better? This year I am taking advantage of Ohio’s move to virtual and I will be part of OETC the week of February 14th-18th. It’s a great Valentine's Day surprise. OETC is one I have never done, and hopefully I can go next year in person.

My Sessions at OETC

• Let's Plan a Coding Program: Admin Addition (2/16 1:00pm): Are you an administrator who knows coding is important, but you just don’t know where to start? If so, this session is exactly what you are looking for. We will give you the tools to design a mission for your coding program, to build a process, and the actual tools you need to get started.
• The Super Spark: 60 Apps to Start the Fir (2/17 1:00pm ): There are a ton of great tools out there for the classroom, but cutting down to the ones that make sense for you can be a challenge. Let me do it for you in this session! We give you a whole lot of apps to fill the situations you need.
  
• Bring the Future to ANY class with Coding! (2/18 9:00am): Coding is for everyone! It can be a creative activity in any class. You can create things like games, animations, and stories for students to show what they know in things like ELA, Music, Social Studies, Art, Science, and Math. Come learn how!
  
• Join the Hype Club! Hype it Up with Hyperdocs (2/18 2:15pm): If you're having students create in the classroom, you have to have a process. Hyperdocs are a simple and effective way to lay those out. They are super customizable, highly shareable, and easy to use. This session gives you everything you need to get started.
