I am a Myo fanatic!I love my Myo, and I wear it every day. I am to a point where I am using it in public and others are getting them. I also gave away one at an ed tech event that I hosted this week, so I think its time I did a Myo Tips and Tricks blog post to help those who have gotten one. (Especially, those who got one because of me!)
I love good ed tech. Great Ed Tech Companies that make hardware are hard to find. I think it's always good to let the masses know of one that does. Ipevo is that. I have known of Ipevo for many years. They have a camera you can attach to a projector in order to make it interactive that is only $150 that I have known about. Recently, I have gotten to interact with them because of a conference I am running, and I have grown to like them more and more.
The first thing that rocks about Ipevo is the price. Ipevo's mission is to bring great products to teachers at a low price. You can't find many companies that do that. Ipevo actually makes products that a teacher can afford themselves. They may be the only company that does that. They makes the interactive whiteboard camera, document cameras, and a whole host of other products for under $200
Another great thing about Ipevo is there willingness to help. Ipevo is great about sponsorships. I have seen their great products as a giveaways at many conferences, and they continue to sponsor and participate in many others. They also have a program called wishlist which allows teachers to apply to have wishes fulfilled basically just for telling Ipevo how you will use it.
Support Ipevo. We need more companies like this with heart. Education is a business for many education technology companies. They want to make a profit. The actual teacher and kids are not important to companies. You can just look at the big textbook companies. Ipevo is different. They care. I wish there were more like them
